Keep the Arts Alive at The Alley Theatre at The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts

Want to make an impact on your community? Please consider sponsoring students and events at The Alley Theatre at The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts LLC. Celebrating our 31st year in business, The Alley Theatre, The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts, and The Patio (our outdoor venue) in Middleboro has been providing cultural enrichment for decades. We offer arts and entertainment 40 weekends a year. About 40% of our student body is on full scholarship. My mom was a single mom with three girls. I went to college at The Boston Conservatory on a full scholarship. I have never forgotten my roots. When I opened the school (in honor of the scholarship I received from Louisa Burt Wood) I made a promise to make the healing and therapeutic benefits of the arts available to students of all ages and economic circumstances.
When businesses sponsor events we post on social media and add your company name to our show programs placed on tables every single weekend. It’s a write-off on taxes as advertising. I am a content creator/ influencer paid by Meta for my monthly content. My top viewership is 5 million this year per month. My low monthly viewership is 1.3 million viewers per month.
Most of our sponsors support our students a few ways throughout the year.
#1. They sponsor tuition for students to be in our plays. This ranges from $685.00 (per September – May plays) and $895.00 per child per the summer show. Many companies sponsor a few kids per show. Example Rt 44 Toyota and Hyundai sponsors a total of 20- 25 students per year. Rt 44 Toyota typically sponsors 5 students per show five times per years, and Rt 44 Hyundai sponsors 4 children per show five times per year.
#2. They also sponsor cultural enrichment events for the community to attend shows. Example: Jacob Gervais (singer) 50 free tickets at $28 per ticket donated by Linda & Rob Kirschner, or The Amber Eyes Band sponsored by Russell Coletti of Specialized Heating & Air Conditioning. Many local businesses will donate 50 -100 free tickets to the community. We also print your info in our show programs.
We use Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook to shout out our sponsors. We post pictures you send us and post language you send in our thank you posts. That said, we have a few business owners that sponsor several children all year without being thanked on social media. They prefer to keep their donations private so they aren’t approached by several other groups for donations.
#3. Another cool opportunity: We offer corporate team building events and private parties. Business ownerscheck in to see what’s coming up at our place, select the event (Example a comedy show) and your team books a private event to see a show.
We’d be happy to place your company logo on the tables for any event you sponsor. Our venue holds 105 patrons, seated cabaret style with tables and chairs. We always have The Bartending Service of New England pouring at each event, and Coffee Milano offers food. We have bands, mediums, comics, comedy contests, acoustic duos, authors, workshops, shows, and events all year.
Thank you for investing in the arts! Please email burtwoodschool@aol.com to keep our conversation going.
Fondly,
Lorna J. Brunelle
